Waiver WireWeek 2
TuesdaysWaiver Adds
- Kaelon Black (RB, SF). Claim priority: HIGH Black out-carried McCaffrey 14-10 and played 28 snaps to McCaffrey's 35, and he can offer stand-alone flex value with the 49ers expected to be heavy favorites in home games against the Dolphins and Cardinals.
- Romeo Doubs (WR, NE). Claim priority: MEDIUM Ugly debut, but A.J. Brown is on Injured Reserve with a high-ankle sprain and will miss at least four games, and Doubs is the wide receiver to have while Brown is sidelined.
- Michael Mayer (TE, LV). Claim priority: MEDIUM He led all Raiders pass-catchers in snaps with 55 and led the team in targets with seven, and a one- or two-game absence for Bowers may be optimistic.
- Tre' Harris (WR, LAC). Claim priority: LOW McConkey sustained a rib injury and is considered day-to-day, KeAndre Lambert-Smith has a more severe hamstring, and Harris played 41 snaps, so he is the volume bet if McConkey sits.
Drop Candidates
- Jordan James (RB, SF). James was inactive during the 49ers' season opener, which cemented Black as the unchallenged RB2 behind McCaffrey.
- Keaton Mitchell (RB, BAL). Mitchell got sparse action in Week 1 and has no path to touches with Baltimore healthy in the backfield.
Deep League Stash
- Raheim Sanders (RB, CLE). Dylan Sampson (knee) did not return, Sanders had 3 receptions for 25 yards, and he stands to benefit if Sampson misses time.

Injury ReportWeek 1
FridaysOut or Doubtful
- Brock Bowers (TE, LV). Out. He underwent meniscus trim surgery and will reportedly miss 1-2 games. Pivot: Michael Mayer (TE, LV), who averaged 7.3 targets across three 2025 games without Bowers, making him a fine one-week streamer.
- Tua Tagovailoa (QB, ATL). Out with an oblique injury. Cooper Rush will get the start for the Falcons on the road against the Steelers. Pivot: keep Bijan Robinson (RB, ATL) and Drake London (WR, ATL) in, but London fell from WR8 to WR15 in one projection set, so temper expectations.
- Jalen McMillan (WR, TB). Doubtful, knee, limited all week in practice. Pivot: Emeka Egbuka (WR, TB), who is recovered from a toe injury and will be available against the Bengals in a game with shootout potential.
Questionable
- Malik Nabers (WR, NYG). Full participant in practice Friday for the third consecutive day, but his status remains uncertain because of the game designation. Lean: start if you can wait for Sunday night news, otherwise have a bench swap ready.
- Jeremiyah Love (RB, ARI). Limited all week with a high ankle sprain, and a game-time decision for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters Friday. Lean: start as a flex, with Tyler Allgeier (RB, ARI) as the backup plan.
- Rome Odunze (WR, CHI). Limited all week. However, he stated on Friday that he will be suiting up in Week 1. Lean: start as a WR3.
- Patrick Mahomes (QB, KC). Currently listed as questionable, all signs point to Mahomes being under center in Week 1 on Monday night. Lean: start.
Game-time Decisions
Nabers (8:20 p.m. ET) and Love (4:25 p.m. ET) are the late-window landmines, so lock in a 1 p.m. alternative for each slot only if you cannot check inactives 90 minutes before kickoff. Ashton Jeanty (RB, LV) was a full participant and should be started with confidence.

Start / SitWeek 1
ThursdaysStart
- D'Andre Swift (RB, CHI) over MarShawn Lloyd (RB, GB). With Kyle Monangai potentially shaking off the rust after missing a few weeks of practice due to a knee injury, Swift should have control of the Chicago backfield against a defense that was relatively soft against running backs, while Green Bay's coordinator says its backfield is a running-back committee early against a Vikings front that allowed the fifth-fewest yards per rush to running backs.
- Jaxson Dart (QB, NYG) over Patrick Mahomes (QB, KC). Dart was a top-eight quarterback in fantasy points per game after stepping into the starting lineup last season and draws a Cowboys defense responsible for surrendering the most fantasy points to QBs last year, while Mahomes plays his first game back from a torn ACL behind a player making his NFL debut being tasked with protecting Mahomes' blind side against the Broncos, who led the NFL with 68 sacks last year.
- Jaylen Warren (RB, PIT) over Chuba Hubbard (RB, CAR). Warren led all qualified running backs with a 34.7 percent missed tackle rate on his 251 touches last season, while Hubbard missed the preseason with a hamstring injury and only just returned to practice last week.
Sit
- Jeremiyah Love (RB, ARI). He was LIMITED on Wednesday's report, and even if Love receives clearance Sunday, Arizona could choose to manage his workload considering the nature of the injury and his limited practice time.
- Courtland Sutton (WR, MIA). Sutton is less likely to avoid promising rookie CB Mansoor Delane, and he is far more reliant on a chunk gain or touchdown for a decent fantasy performance.
Flex of the Week
Tyler Allgeier (RB, ARI) is the widely available play with Love hobbled: even playing behind Bijan Robinson, Allgeier found a way to score eight touchdowns last season, and if Love can't suit up in the opener, Allgeier will be a fringe low-end fantasy RB2.
